Huawei presented a new flagship smartphone in the slider form factor - Honor Magic 2 at a press event in China. It replaces the model Honor Magic, released in 2016.
The predecessor at one time was positioned by the manufacturer as the first smartphone based on an artificial intelligence system. Honor Magic 2 has progressed much further. He received a corporate voice assistant Yoyo and is based on the Kirin 980 processor with new features for artificial intelligence.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.39-inch AMOLED-display with thin frames and no cuts with a resolution of Full HD + (2340 x 1080 pixels). The manufacturer stated that the screen takes up almost 100% of the front panel. In fact, of course, there are small frames. Sliding the screen down, the user gets access to the front camera and sensors. A fingerprint scanner is integrated under the display, using an optical sensor. The rear triple camera has a resolution of 16 + 24 + 16 Mp. The front camera is also triple, by 16 + 2 + 2 Mp.
The battery has a capacity of 3500 mAh and supports fast charging SuperCharge 40 watts. Two SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 ac), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC are supported, there is a USB Type-C port. The smartphone runs on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.0 shell. Dimensions are 157.32 x 75.13 x 8.3 mm, and weight is 206 grams.
